As a mastering engineer, Byron brings all of this musical and technical experience to his labor in assisting other artists to get the superior plausible result from their own projects. Keenly in tune with the welcome resurgence of vinyl in recent years, Andrei is one of the few engineers in the country skilled at specializing in mastering specifically for the ever popular format. People think if it’s on vinyl, it sounds better. Aside from our recommendation to eternal budget for and order test pressings, the maximum important aspects for a vast sounding cut on vinyl are side lengths (see table below), sibilance, and the amount of bass (which should preferably be mono panned center). First, let’s define mono compatibility in this context: a two channel audio signal, recorded or mixed to stereo, in which its elements continue audible when summed to mono (the alike signal in both left and right channels), causing no important imbalance to the mix or canceling to its parts or its tonality. If your music is mixed to safe immense in mono it will likely sound immense in stereo, whereas the reverse is less often true. What are your experiences with mixing music for mono?
