The College is situated in spacious grounds with both green space and firm surfaced areas for students to use. Our clear focus is to yield students with a viable pathway including both academic and vocational opportunities. specialized literacy and numeracy programs and assistants encourage our drive to continually improve literacy and numeracy across the College. Differentiation in the classroom underpins our drive to cater for individuals. The College has a mighty focus on literacy and numeracy. Numeracy is practiced at the first of every lesson and all students are involved in hushed reading at the first of period 1 and 3 each day. Participation in the Achievement Improvement Zone has had a significant impact on teaching and learning. The specific focii in the tomorrow will be on improving VCR results, ensuring consistency in all classrooms, raising student expectations of their achievement levels especially in relation to effort and completion of homework and the use of data to monitor student achievement, inform planning and promote personalized learning. There is a strong focus on attendance and effort in class. Rolls are marked every lesson with messages sent home where students are absent. personal Learning at Years 710 focuses on College values and preparing for success. Teaching teams use data to inform agreed practice in the classroom. Teachers report to parents through progress reports, reporting nights and individual interviews. Students begin planning their pathway in Year 7, exploring their interests and strengths and setting goals. Extensive counseling with students and parents forms part of the process for selecting pathways and subjects.

Our teachers plan and labor together to flourish curriculum using technology. Information Technology also includes a important laboratory area for preparation of possible work. The purpose of the school annual report is to inform parents and the wider school community of the school's successes, activities and achievements throughout the year, and to face Commonwealth and State legislative requirements, including Smarter Schools National Partnerships. All students at Glenroy College take written reports two times a year, mid year and at the end of the year. Glenroy College runs Parent Teacher Interviews twice throughout the year. Labor experience opportunities are also available on request provided that students have completed all of their school tasks. Teaching Literacy at Glenroy College is the responsibility of all teachers. Teaching Numeracy at Glenroy College is also the responsibility of all teachers. To ensure the students are well supported, in maximum cases, the English teacher at Year 7 8 is also their Humanities teacher and the Maths' teacher is also the Science Teacher. Team building project students labor in a trivial group to prosper team skills as they investigate a charity. Community Service and Awareness A combination of theory work and community volunteering that supports students to grasp the local community. The Internship program runs out of D4 and enables students to explore different career pathways and develop personal learning skills. Results at the first of the year are worn for planning and testing at the final of the year measures improvement. Education urge staff work across the curriculum to assist students in all key learning areas focusing on literacy and numeracy. Year 11 students are appointed each year to form the school's Student Leadership Team. Staff students are expected to be on time for class! These consultants were capable to donate our students an insight into their career pathway and what they had to do in Year 12 to achieve success. We easily got help from our teachers, teachers were always willing to aid us even out of school time. Great, we were everlasting learning something fresh and teachers were perpetual supportive. We have a number of opportunities for the Community to aid out at the school.
